If you find somewhere decent let me know. I need to shift a few things

Ebay is full of morons that just waste your time with questions but never bid.

and i can only shift the odd thing to team mates.

Never really made any money off ebay but always managed to shift unwanted items. Just like any other shop people will browse and ask questions. If you really want to get rid,  start low.

You start at 99p. First 5 questions in an hour are similar "how much to stop the auction" but them same people never actually bid in said auction?

Just baffles me.

I'm not in it to make a profit, I just want to shift unwanted gear I'm not gonna use to a audience of fellow cricketers.

A lot of eBay users are basically traders who have little interest in giving you a fair price.

Someone should set up a Facebook selling page.

Gotta be a few hundred thousand Facebook cricketers?

The problem is that everything is open to abuse. You set up something easy and people WILL con others however they can. Traders cottoned on to ebay after a while and bang... Now it's just retailers  and online retailers flooding it. Even if they banned traders they'd just do it via various newly created accounts.. Buy and sell to your own accts to raise trust.. Boom..

People are just plain greedy, so,will con or get as much out of people as they can..

I may have been lucky but have generally had good experiences on ebay and sold lots of cricket gear that way.  I think if your description is detailed, photos are good and you sound knowledgeable then genuine buyers will be attracted to your advert.  One or two people from CBF have also recognised me on ebay and bought from me that way...so it is possible.

The cricket alliance when fully set up is looking into a trade ideas but agree with some there small time people who ruin the whole experiance of trade and swap.

Greed is all around too much smoke and mirrors shame cricket is a great sport and like this forum I have made friends in all counters from Dubai to Canada

And do not get me started on so many time wasters that lurk
