Ecb manangent will put a massive positive spin on this Wc.
But to be fair it wasn't sub continent conditions in this group. They didn't face any quality spinners and the ball didn't turn. Had they played at the other venue they would have struggled more.

Will be interesting how SA goes in the semi's on a turning track

Love the fact Graeme Smith has pointed out on twitter that Broad avoided bowling in the power play or death overs.
Not exactly leading by example. I have no time for Broad at all.

Cant stand dernbach..if we want another bowler in his place woakes would be a better pick to bowl those overs and you get a far better fielder and you get a far far better batsman

I agree, I'd pick woakes over dernbach anyday.

SF match ups would be real interesting. 3 teams with good spin attack and SA.

Bit embarrassing for Australia that there struggling against medium pace here. The spin struggle is a given

Poor tournament for Aussies who probably came in here confident after two decent series allround against England and aus.

But just haven't performed.

Let's not take the credit from Indians who recovered really well in first innings been great in the field.

Maxwell could have turned the game but such poor shot selection.

Not sure how I can give credit to the Indians for the windies and Pakistan wins over aus???

But in this game the Indians were far superior without really having to try. Indians fav for tournaments currently IMO

Indian vs Sri Lankan final??

It seems to have been a poor tournament really so far, full of poor performances and poor umpire decisions. You'd have hoped the t20 culture would have bred better players at it. Ab apart whose performance was good.

Not sure your watching the same tournament as me. I've enjoyed it immensely and only the odd bad game.

But then it's t20, even if it was great, you still wouldn't admit it your that against. Lol

Yup India favourites but only takes one knock from ABD in the semi's and they could go out.

Aussies seem to want to pack the batting but why not play 2 front line spinners? And why is Steve smith not in the squad. He's probably the best player of spin after Clarke for them.

Hope nz don't win tomorrow otherwise they will struggle against spin in the semi's

Not really. Lots of crap bowling. Half volleys, full tosses etc because of the dew. Meaning higher scoring games, yeah they are hitting them but the bowling is in general poorer (May be down to conditions). In which case, stop playing it at stupid times

On the flip side, had the ball been turning square, then people would have moaned too much spin, low scores etc. A bit like the last t20 WC in Sri Lanka. Think the balance has been decent, been movement in the first couple of overs for the swing bowlers yet all teams apart from Sri Lanka and India have opened the bowling with a off spinner.
