Blessing for India that wicket. Yuvraj was struggling.
Kohli's the big wicket

Afraid not, Chased it with ease. Kohli's just too good at the moment in a chase. Smoked steyn around

Great win India. They made it look too easy. Although it's boaring to see India and SL in another finals, it should be a very good game.I would give the edge to India.

Yet another ICC semi final defeat for the Proteas. Aside from the inaugural 1998 ICC Knockout/ICC Champions Trophy.

We love now lost 9 semi finals in ICC events.

That mental block is getting bigger all the time.

I get the feeling a few players wearing the Proteas Jersey lack a little bit of ticker.

That side Kohli is something else, and he could yet end up India's greatest ever batsman.

Also been pretty impressed with Ashwin's resurgence. He looked like he was done after woeful trips to SA and NZ, but it's good to see him embrace his bowling properly again.

I'm not sure the metal block/ticker argument is right this time. I think the Saffers put up a pretty good fight considering they only had one front line spinner in those conditions.
Most informed cricket watchers would have predicted an all sub continent final, I think the fact SA put in a strong performance should be recognised with credit personally.

It was pretty obvious that SA,NZ,aus or eng would have had to play bloody well to reach the final. Was always going to be a final between SL, Ind or Pk. So it's no surprise. I don't think they are the best sides but they are in these conditions. Kohli is something else though. Very special talent

Have to agree with you. SA played spin well, got a good score that was defendable. Don't think it had anything to do with mindset, they just got beaten by the better team (mainly Kohli's knock)

One thing they did wrong was not open with steyn or Parnell with the new ball. Duminy and A morkel were odd choices. Another spinner may have helped but India play spin well. SA just didn't have the pace off the ball options. The bowling apart from steyn has been poor all tournament from them

I had a discussion with the Pakistani guys who run my local shop at the start of the tournament as to what the final would be.  I said India Sri Lanka and the disagreed.  Interesting discussion this evening!

Did they have a view as to why despite having the perfect conditions to progress to the semi finals Pakistan did not?

It's Pakistan!! They play by their own rules. You never know what team will turn up.

Conditions obviously favoured the sub continental teams, Pakistan were abysmal though with Ajmal not standing up. Can always count on Kohli for a big innings on a big stage, hopefully he can carry our team for a good few years now :P

If this tournament had been played down under on bouncy grassy wickets I would put my house on everyone saying how good SA/Aus/Eng were playing if one of them had reached the finals, not commenting on the conditions.
