Not really. There are some basic physics that define the sweet spot and you can adjust those with shape regardless of the amount of wood you have.

BTW guys, the SM solider plus is a laminate with 'between 8mm and 10mm' piece of wood stuck on the face.

It has arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It's bloody massive!

It weighs 3lbs 4oz and picks up better than I thought, although I can't see myself doing anything else than prodding and driving with it!

It has 55mm edges and an 88mm spine - and yes I know it's stupid, but what larks!!

Edges can take 2 x 10p's or one medium sized banana.

Amazingly, it taps up really well!
