Can safely say you've got yourself a stunning bit of willow there, how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

I paid 95 pounds for it as had a discount code I got a few other bits as well got the softs to match and a set off sg test gloves and pads and some ss keeping gloves and the shipping for the whole lot was 39 pounds so I thought that was very reasonable

A lot of wood packed into a 2lb 8oz bat!

How does it tap up?  Is it a bit dry or just a light cleft?

It's just a light cleft and had no problems with customs

Lovely lovely bat, Simon. Can't believe it is only 2.8, really a massive bat. I suspect it is a little drier than normal, as SF seem to get massive bats for their weight, but what do I know. :-[ All that matters is that it's a good bat!

Seems like the English made bats are catching up in size though, I wonder how... ;)

It is a lovely bat I made sure that it had two coats off bat wax so I hope it will be ok because it is insane off the mallet seems to be opening up witch is a good sign I am pleased I tried sf as was always a bit unsure about the quality but this has put me In My place very happy indeed  :D

Out of interest, is the SF a full sized SH or is it 'Academy' sized like most CA bats?
