Measuring Distance the ball travels for six
« on: March 23, 2014, 02:10:23 PM »

Was curious to know, how do they calculate the distance for a six ? Its funny to see the 90 mts six just touching the boundary ? In the current IPL world cup the boundaries are so small and still if the ball lands just outside the boundary it says 80 mts..

By laser, from the point of contact with the bat to the point of contact with the stand/grass/spectator/cup of beer or whatever it hits.
