Looks great colesy. Love a bit of globe nets!

What was the machine set at?

Started off 62 then went down to 58

I always set it a bit lower than anywhere else as it's only about 19-20 yards. Effectively you can add another 10-13% onto the speed so if it's set at 65 in reality that's about 72 if my maths are correct.

Do you find the mat causes the balls to nibble around a fair bit? Keeps me honest!

I find dome people hate nets to not be flat and true as they can't just smash it. I'd prefer it to nibble around and not be bouncy personally.. As you say keeps you honest and watching the ball

Exactly, just wish I could roll it up and take it with me when I'm bowling ;)

It's nice to see a wicket that is sporting. Even as an opener I prefer it when it does a bit early on. Makes it fun

The biggest issue I have with the nets at globe isn't the inconsistency, that keeps in interesting, but the bowling machine is placed where the umpire stands so really the ball is always going away from you on the angle

Could you move the stumps towards leg slightly to combat that?

I just move the whole lot over to simulate a normal bowling position.

You see a lot of people doing that with machines. Rather than simulating where a bowler actually releases from they just plonk it in the middle, no idea why tbh, it's common sense to put it where bowlers bowl
