Best Places to sell excess kit
« on: March 31, 2014, 11:25:16 AM »

Hi All

I understand as my post count is low i am unable to sell via the forum, having purchased another new bat at the weekend (taking 2014 total to 4 new bats) my wife has not to subtly asked me to get rid of some as in her words i cant use them all at once.

I have tried and given up quickly selling via ebay as more often than not they are treated as fakes by the buyers and i didnt want to sell at such low prices.

Any advice is welcome as im stuck with at least 10 bats and more gloves pads and boots than i could ever use in my remianing years playing

Cheers

Interesting that you've struggled with people thinking that the bats are fake. If you are selling well known brands, I've found that eBay in the UK gets you decent prices, especially at this time of year. Towards the end of the season, it sucks though.

You can post for free, set your price, let them meet you and look in person, no real time limit.

There is always fakes, but that doesn't mean all of them are. You just have to be patient.

I bought a lot of bats from ebay and if you take nice and clean pics of the bat and describe it well you should not have any trouble selling them. If a buyer is really interested he will contact you with questions. But good pics and description is the key.Good luck!

Also list them for less than half their RRP and accept best offers, then wait for the £10 offers to come flooding in!

Nobody forces you to sell for less than what you are expecting. There is something called a reserve price. You can ignore offers that are a joke and I believe there is an option to automatically reject offers that are below a certain price (I could be wrong though).

Mate forum is probably the worst place to sell if you are looking at recovering anywhere near what you paid so don't beat yourself up about low post count.
Wait for a free ebay listing weekend and list all your tat up in one go.
If your stuff is semi decent then you will get some offers, otherwise listen to the market and price accordingly.

P.S You are not selling any H4Ls are you?

not a H4L but still on the wish list should i be able to shift some of my older (by older i mean a year, i have an addiction to buying bats - and golf gear) bats. its all kooks, grays, a spartan or 2 and a Joda which is a bit older.

I managed to fill the box that came with my new motocaddy with gloves as well. could be using a new pair every game this season.
