Sidearms?
« on: April 01, 2014, 07:42:56 AM »

Hello there. I am a top order batsman. People suggested me to use the Sidearm Pro for improving but I found I did not have enough money for that right now. I had found Dog Ball Throwers and I wanted to ask if I can use Dog Ball throwers with cricket balls fitted for practice.

From what I know, they are designed to hold tennis balls, not hard 5.5oz cricket balls.

Probably not a good idea!

I love SideArms, I've had the Club and now got the Pro recently.. Only problem is, I personally have had great amount of practice with it and can bowl any length to a batsmen at will with my SideArm.. It is facing the SideArm which is the problem, there is absolutely no one in my close friends/family who can operate a SideArm efficiently, If only,.....

Saad, is there much of a difference between the club and the pro?

Definitely, The Pro has a lot more Pace and bounce to it, it's nothing Fancy just the length of the handle is longer which generates more power as you swing.. With the pro I found I was able to land Shorter balls a lot more effectively, I would say the yellow (Club) version is good for throwdowns from around 14-16 yards rather than the full 22.. Whereas with the Pro you can go back to the bowling crease and get some wheels on it.

Saad, is there much of a difference between the club and the pro?
