« on: April 07, 2014, 08:43:03 PM »

Anyone has 2014 design pictures of the SS millenium pro batting pads...

Im not able to decide which one of the following two that i need to go for( considering weight and style)...

1. SS millenium pro 2014
2. SG maxilite xl 2013 pads.. ( i dont think there is a 2014 one for this)

also which one of these two is close to morrant international?

Hi bud, you're probably better off actually doing a google search to try get some specs. I would say retailers who are sponsors here would be able to help, but they stock the TON range, not the SS range, which is similar, but not identical to the SS range sold in India.

Took me literally half a minute to find these, and there are some reviews on them which may shed some light on which is the better pad. In my view, I prefer the look of the SG ones, simply because they look like they may wrap round the legs better. Both companies make cracking softs, and both are at a similar price point. In the end, I think you'll be happy with either. :)

Oh, and welcome to the forum. ;)

Dunno about the 2014 model but I bought a pair of the ss pads last season. Brilliant kit. I love the light weight two strap design. I've taken 1 or 2 very quick balls on the pads too and they are, despite looking a bit thin, great performers.....no bruises.. :)
Could only be better if the straps were padded.

are they broader at the top and narrower at the bottom? I think the SS millenium ones are same width at the top and bottom

How is the width? are the fat?

I need to know if they are of constant width through the length of the pads

Yes, constant width on mine. Not fat, however, as they eventually wrap nicely to your leg shape. Nice short straps too...I hate over sized straps.

See this link for the pictures you want.

Found these on eBay from a seller called ozcricket...hope this helps but it seems ss stuff seems to change quite rapidly, and the same model name can be vastly different depending on whether it is the ton or ss market and from year to year as well, I have been looking at ss gladiator 2014 batting pads and they look nothing like the ton gladiator pads which are in this thread. In fact, the ton gladiators in this thread look very much more like the ss millennium pro pictures included here, and close to the cheaper of the 2 morrants moulded pads...., sorry will have to use link above as cannot get attachments to work.
