Hello lads,

Looking for some advice.

The toe guard on one of my bats was falling off so I decided to put it out of its misery and remove it rather that trying to super glue it on again. Once it came off I got to see the toe of my bat for the first time and lo and behold I see this small horizontal crack near the edge. Is this something to be concerned about? Can i do anything about it?

It looks fairly innocuous to me but I'm no expert.

Should not cause to many problems IMO you could apply pva glue into the gap to prevent damp getting in or you could easily sand it out.

Are you left-handed?

It looks like a compression-style crack from either banging the floor too hard or from a yorker.  I have seen this happen on top range GM's a couple of times.  Get some glue in there as it will get worse if left.

It's of watered down PVA in there and it'll be fine mate.
Nothin to worry about now, but gluing it will stop it getting worse

For where the crack is I wouldn't personally.

I'm more a parcel tape kind if guy when it comes to bat repairs, but I don think it's required here

You wouldn't be able to clamp it unless you open it up first with a knife/flathead screwdriver,

For a crack so small it isn't necessary in my opinion. Soak the area in pva (watered down if necessary) and leave the bat in a position where gravity will pull the glue into the crack overnight,

Sand off the residue left around the crack you're good to go.

As advised above, there is the potential for this to be a very small and insignificant crack, it's hard to tell from pictures, so I would try and see if you can sand it out first.

Looks real and guys offering you great advice, not pushing new bats on you.....
