Kookaburra Kahuna Players bat pictures.
« on: April 11, 2014, 03:24:17 PM »

I got new kookaburra kahuna players bat but I'm surprised as my mate has one and their shapes are bit different. One has minimum concaving and the second has a lot concaving with higher spine. Bat 1 is with minimum concaving.
Below is link to each bat.

Which one would you guys prefer.

Bat 1 - Current Australian/Last seasons UK Kahuna Players version.

Bat 2 - New UK Kahuna Players version

Someone correct me but I think the new one has been tweaked slightly to have a bigger spine (which probably means slightly more concaving for the same weight...)

Could be wrong...

(Sorry... Replied without really reading what you said :S)

Thanks for reply. Just was confused as my mate bought the kookaburra kahuna bat 1 in pictures and it different to what I got.
But I rather prefer bat 1 as it has less concaving. Bat 2 just has a bigger spine and much more concaving.

They're the same shape this year just some have more, some have less concaving it all depends on the cleft and finished weight of the bat. However I was always under the impression that kookaburra players bats had players burned into the back as to just a sticker?

Minimal concaving (bat 1?) And I share the same thought of toenails97 that the players on the back of the bat should be engraved.I have not seen one in person so I could be wrong.

But both look very good though.

My eyes could be decieving me but I think these bats have a different shape and middle position..

Bat 1 (Left) has a different edge profile, middle is not in the same position as Bat 2. Are they both the same weight? there is no players engraving (just a sticker) other one doesn't even have that on the back!! Obviously they are models from different years...stating the obvious???

I tested both bats out with a ball and seems they have similar middle. Not a big difference. The one on left pings better seems more soft pressed compare to the other one. They not level on this picture that's why it seems different.

I'm sure someone like Uzi Sports could help as they stock both bats.

Got it from Someone I know in India. He hand picked it from the kookaburra factory their. The 2013 model is the 2014 model in India.

I compared it to a lot of kookaburra bats here and that was much better. It was pressed much better. I got it for my mate.
Also in uk the kahuna players are around £350 and this bat was cheaper and much much better.
