Played against a A. Ismael yesterday. He used to play for Filton apparently. Anybody here know him?

Today's away game was called off yesterday due to waterlogged pitch and no home fixture.
So naturally bright sunshine and no threat of rain all day.

Today's fixture was a success for my club's first academy fixture. With a team made up of u14s, u15s and u16s, alongside myself as a u20/coach, we managed to sneak a two wicket win with a ball to spare against a much more experienced team. Everything went to plan as a captain, won the toss and bowled, but my opening bowler was struggling so I bowled some seam, got 2 for 10/12 in total after coming back towards the end for my last 3 overs. First spell went for 2 runs from 5 overs, got two wickets, bounced out both openers. Nearly got a run out in the first over chasing a ball to the boundary from the slips, direct hit from by the rope but not out. Batted 5, came in after 3 reasonably early wickets chasing 145 to win, scored 60 with a couple of sixes, one straight off an off-spinner, and then the same bowler at the other end bowled a full toss duly dispatched to the pavilion roof. One very happy captain here!

Team we were due to play called off early Friday evening due to not having numbers, first team wedding!

We got maximum points, the rest of the clubs in our division fell foul of rain. Cricketing gods!!

I was operating the machine mate, I'd be stood on the square leg umpires toes if the ball was coming that fast!

Most of my away games are 130 miles round trip due to there being only 4 leagues in all of ireland

And another game rained off!
That makes it Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday that the weather has prevented a game being played now!  >:(
