Where are they cracking mate.  Had a guy at my club with similar problem turned nout because he choked the bat and tapped by behind his foot so hard it was causing it to crack in he shoulder

Tapping the bat on the ground was my first thought. Have you had many deliveries hit the splice?

I gently tap my bat once, literally just out of routine rather than anger etc.they are cracking through the tabs of the blade that join onto the handle so not at the base of the splice where I would expect it to break if it was me tapping the ground

I'm sure I read somewhere that it happens if you drive alot of Yorkers or lower down on the bat. The two weakest points are the toe and the splice/ shoulders. If the toe doesn't go then the shoulders do. I think it was james laver who made the comment but can't find it online ATM.

Could be a tiny gap in the handle when fitted, could also be rubbish/ faulty handle although seems odd you have had so many. Doubt you are that unlucky to have got all the bad luck. Possibly a combination of all

You could check under the splice stickers for damage in the vee, but as previously stated if it not toe damage  causing the problem it could be cracks  to the bat shoulders.

It seems strange the bats are going at the same place are the bats all the same make and how old are they

on the first one, a very sharp bowler hit the splice 5 or 6 times in the same innings and i tried to drive one of his yorkers, so that would explain that one, but the other two, I have no idea.  i dont really want to take the stickers off, but i have had bats with gaps in the V before and they havent gone, just hit and miss which ones do and dont i guess. 2 were the same make, and one wast, they were all pretty new

It just seems very strange for a bat to keep going in the same area either very bad luck or it's something you are doing do you tend to drive a lot off Yorkers or pull a lot off short balls catching high up the bat do you tap you foot hard or just tap as I always taped my boot before I get set but never broke a Handel have you any pictures off the damage

What do you do off the field?  Does the handle stick out of your bag? Does it get ragged about a lot in the car or at home? Do you, or your dog, sit on your kit bag?
