Been quite light on the ground in terms of kit watching - team mate has just got a Spartan CG - got a first baller so no idea how it went.

Oppo player two weeks ago had a very nice M&H Amplus and the CK22 softs - sparkly new and pads were squeaking non stop.  Had a guy rip our attack apart this weekend, fully kitted out in Salix gear, until his bat went and he swapped it for an old County - the ball just went further!

Hi all

Thought I'd start us off this year.

Played against a guy with full neon gear today.
Also saw a Wright cricket bat (but not in use) one of the oppo had.

Where'd you see the Wright Cricket one cam?

Was also a Hythe & Dibden player mate.
Looked a tidy stick, shame I wasn't brave enough to ask if I could wave the blokes wood round

Did he have pads and gloves too, or just the bat?  Got a couple of people using my sticks down that way...

Not sure fella, just saw the bat propped against a table and was drawn to it.

Played against a guy on Saturday who was using his mates  who is a county professional Hawk XB 500 players bat he hit 6 after 6 he kindly allowed me to have a swing and the ball flew. But what amazed me was that it only had 6 wide straight grains.

For me the only difference grains make is that they make the bat reach its full potential earlier in its life.

My hawk bat will not win any beauty contests and has taken an age to knock in and start to open up but is going to be one hell of a bat, only has 6 grains as well.

Saw Rammy Singh smash it about for Durham 2s today with a B3 also saw Ben a Stokes hit the biggest six I've ever seen with a New Balance.
