Lovely looking bat. Is there a back story to it?

How long did the refurb take?

Re-furb threads are pointless without before pictures...

That's like saying a new bat thread is pointless before you have used it.

Well, it isn't because a new bat is new. A refurbished bat, you want something to compare it to before and after if you will

Really?

This is a new bat post

I have a new bat, here are pictures...

This is the above

I have had my bat refurbished, here are the pictures...

With the new bat post, I can see new bat pictures by Googling them. They are on all types of cricket-shop websites where you can see them. You want the individual to say whether it plays well or not, how it feels after it's been knocked in etc.

Did you have a heavy night last night?
A new bat post, yes pictures of a new bat. Looking at bats on google isn't the same. I'm sure you know this.

A refurbished bat is completely different, you want to see the work that's gone into the bat and how nicely it's come up after the work thats gone into it.

Not quite an immediate "before", this is it though in a used condition, second from the left.

Refurb was cosmetic, there was no damage to the bat.

Details are on the Salix website. The timeframe is variable.

http://www.salixcricketbats.com/brand/bat_care.html

I had planned ahead, so the bat is ready for the start of the season.

Thank you.

There was no structural damage to it, not used a great deal, just was in a scruffy condition - missing or scuffed labels, uneven face where I had removed the face sheet and resulting from a wet weather match, dirty and worn grip.

It was the very top of the Salix range when it was made, prior to the Players and Finite being added.

Felt, therefore, it was worthwhile to restoring to an as new condition, which I feel it has. Plus a new grip and anti-scuff fitted both of which are top quality.
