Long time browser, first time poster on here.

The Newbury SPS has finally died after four seasons of fantastic service (salute). I'm looking for something functional, durable and easy to get at everything inside. I've been looking at a few smaller companies. I like the look of the Choice Praetorian, the Warsop Platinum and a few others. Does anyone have experience of these? Or can recommend any other lesser known, but quality kit bags.

I'm pretty curious to see how much the blank bats duffles are but they're not on their site (when I last checked anyway). Basically, at the moment it's looking like the Salix Pod one tri-wheeler. Found a couple of good prices but is there anything else I should be considering?

Does anyone have any recommendations or input? The SPS has one or two games left in it max so all advice welcomed!

My lads just got the Salix pod one from Uzi sports after I asked a similar question on here

The bags just what he wanted, very high quality, and Asad,as always did a very good deal and posted out the same day!

Depends how big you want to go size wise. I've had a M&H T2 which was actually pretty big - goodness knows what the T1 is like size wise. Very good bag but a bit too big for me. I'm currently using a Blank Bats Duffle which is superb. A lot smaller but everything that I need fits. If you are a keeper I think it might be a problem though.

Avoid the big Kookaburras, they are awful. They disintegrate and they don't protect your kit.

Thanks Northern Monkey, Will have a word with UZI, someone I used to play with just got an awesome deal on his kit through them.

I was curious about the M&H bags trypewriter, they do look great. I'm a fan of big, but manageable. Due to a car accident the Vectra estate is now A VW Polo. So space is an issue. Is your blank bats duffle the wheeled one? Being 'superb' it has peaked my interest. Last time I looked on the site it wasn't available (May have just been the iPad) will try the link in a sec.

How did you find your M&H t2 in terms of practicality?

Yeah, I've heard pastiche bags are more durable then kookaburra kit bags...

I had an Ayrtek one which was proper solid. It was too big for me but would fit everything you need in.

It wasn't overly big either. Fits comfortably in the boot of the car.

If you can find one, definitely worth considering. The RedInk one looks similar to this too.

I'm saving up for one myself, ,my kookashite bag is truly awful, ,my lad went through three of em

Salix Pod One is definitely a strong contender at the moment.

The Ayrtek stand up looks a tidy bag for �60ish, do you have any pics of the red inks joeljonno? Again, not sure if it's my iPad or if there are no pics on the site.

I'm liking stand ups, coffin style and duffles for practicality (narrow target right?). I'm just waiting to be 'wowed'. Not doing the double decker again, the Newbury SPS has served me well, was hard wearing and practical, but a sheer fire way to annoy the team mates in small spaces...

The BB Duffle is the wheeled one, but it's so light that I don't tend to drag it. It has two straps, so you can 'wear it' rucksack style, but again, it's no sweat to carry it just on one shoulder.

The MH T2 was practical, and yes it does look a bit smaller than many bags, but it is still a big bag. If you google it I'm pretty sure that Paul IJC has a video review of it, and what you can get in it, which is loads. I'm pretty sure it will hold a keeper's kit as well from memory. The T2 is a stand up bag and is very stable, slightly wedge shaped at the top/handle end. Access inside is good, very long zip. My top tip is to put your pads in upside down as it gives more room at the 'sharp end'. There's no bat cave as such but the bats are secured inside by a couple of shallow pockets - four bats complete with padded sleeves fit comfortably. One thing that I would say about the T2 is that it is pretty heavy totally empty, but that is part of it giving decent protection I suppose.

Thanks for the tip on the IJC YouTube reviews trypewriter. Had a look at a few of them. Really thorough reviewing. May just have consolidated my Salix leaning. It's not massive, and has the stand up option which could be pretty handy.

I am still tempted by a couple of others. Found a Red Ink thread on here with pics of a nice looking bag. The willostix bag looks tidy too. It's an odd market where there are a lot of similar products, and a few with some great features. It's as if each good feature means removing another.

I May also be tempted to get a duffle for nets, and the blankbats might be top of that particular list!

I just bought the M&H CK22, it's a big duffle and comfortably fits everything I need. I've had a couple of duffles over the past 6 years and this is the largest so far. Also stands up on it's own

The Shamrock duffle gets good reviews on here and I'd probably have bought that if I hadn't already ordered the CK22.

Re Warsop Platinum, a couple of guys in my team have them , they are huge! I'm sure you could live in it! They have had them for a couple of years and seem to last ok. The only negative is that they fall under Council tax band D!

I would say GN 1000 Duffle but these are sold out until June.

The TON Gladiator Elite is a fantastic bag, exact same spec (and manufacturer) as the England Adidas duffle, but feels sturdier, also has an extra front pocket for bits and bobs. It's also significantly more affordable than the England Adidas one.
