B3 Or Affinity Or BB Lam
« on: April 28, 2014, 01:35:51 PM »

Hey,

Last year i got Black cat Custom which wasnt very good.. My Brothers malik was better surprisingly.

Best bat ive used to date is without a doubt Hammer berserker ST.

So now ive heard b3 Crowns are good & Affinity Spectre is good as well.

Ive also been looking at BB's Lams they do seem quite good as well.

So any help would be nice :D

depends on your budget.

BB and B3 are on the forum so can help you out. I have used both and both are very decent bats. Never seen an Affinity but they seem to be very popular and have good performance according to reviews.

why not try out another brand like aldred or red ink or a custom batmaker like Ryan (RK) or ST Cricket or White Willow (their bats look superb)

I've got a Joker Extreme which is rubbish too.

Still, from the choices you've offered, B3 Crown, however I have seen a BB Lam and was taken aback at it's balance and ping.

To stick up for Black Cat, I had one of their Customs a few years back and it went like a train.

I am not one for hearsay. But are Black Cat's & BB's from the same source?

Apologies if I am way off the mark.

Streaky was weighing the new clefts which arrived last week on Saturday, there are a few Crowns arrived in this batch which look the dogs!! If youre able to visit I highly recommend popping by to have a look and if not then we can arrange a Skype session with the Doc.

Well as the other half of B3 I have a different take than most.

blank bats are very good bats and offer great value for sure and great quality.

Affinity seem to have good reviews and there quality can not be doubted either.

We have the crown which is made up of the top 1 per cent of willow which is used normally for proffesional only.  You get the exact shape you want in the weight you want.

We also have the no quibbles return policy

Look at the reviews of our product it is not a fight for your money mate it is simple crown clefts are special as Rich rightly puts..

Hard choice to make my good friend maybe a look at the recent crown will help you  it is a hard choice if you need anything do not hesitate to pm me or Butterfingerz as we prefer the personal touch mate.

We are simply unique in the world in the process we bring and what we offer.

Tough choice. I have BB Lam and also B3 crown, both are fantastic bats. keep in mind that Lams are banned by ICC. Lams definitely have added ping.

I've had a Spectre pass through my hands, and they are fantastic bats, pick up so well for the shape and weight and respond excellently.

I've also had 2 B3 Stripe 1s pass through my hand, and watched one of them help my mate score a nice 80, and the other one is even more responsive IMO. It will be interesting to see how a Crown one compares!

I've never seen a BB, but I've had plenty of bats from the same bat maker, who is one of the best in the UK. No doubt, from all the feedback on the forum, that the BB boys will look after you.

Personally, I wouldn't go for a laminate, as they are banned. If you have a big budget, then I would be tempted to go for a B3 Crown. If you use a 2.9+, and the Beserker ST is the best bat you've ever used, I would actually seriously consider contacting Jake at Vitas to get one of these instead, and spend the rest of the money on some coaching or other gear:

IMO, that ST profile is even better than the Hammer one, simply because there is no concaving whatsoever on them. I purchased one from Asad, which is ridiculously good. You just have to let the bat drop on half volleys to get some serious punch behind the ball, really top quality bats. :)

I haven't had a chance to own Affinity because I can not justify that cost for the manufacturers credentials.

I had top end B3, it was pre-Crown willow days, since I bought top end, it would now be graded as Crown willow. It was not a good bat, I was not really impressed by it, thus, sold it locally. Have a look at number of B3 going for sale, it should give you an idea what their market is like. Too many people selling them is not a good sign.

BlankBats Laminate, I have it and it is impressive. Amazing ping and go extremely well. Terrific bats really.

I do not like to hear this UZAIR mate there has always been a no quibble guarentee with our bats. You have to understand how many we sell compaired to all the other brand to truely appreaicate the sell on option we have had over 2000 bats sold and only a handful of issues so i guess your point does not stand up.

I could also mention the number of international players and county player who use our equipment (many who pay full price) but this is a sales thread we have more time for that later.

When I got the bat, B3 was not even close to halfway mark to what they are now so chances to get a quality bat were higher then as opposed to now as quantity has drastically soared now.

And I can mention those exact international player name who paid full price and disliked B3 bats, but as you said leave that for later :)
