The edge tape idea is the best idea I think.
When hitting it with a mallet or ball it produces quite a noticeable springy feeling, and it's not coming from the handle if you get me, but the blade.
It's pretty clear why they were banned, you can tell it will send the ball further, a bit like a golf driver or wood that has a more flexible face.
Does anyone know what's in between the joint apart from glue? I have heard some lams have rubber in them.
