This came yesterday along with two sets of stickers, two scuff sheets, a blank bats hat and key ring!

As you can see on the last picture I have applied one set to my Newbery.

It's hard to ask more from a bat really. I love the profile. If I ever get a another bat I will get it in this profile with a slightly lower middle. Luckily this bat pings very low down the blade, which you would expect from a laminate.

That is a sexy looking profile alright, mate! I can't wait to hear how she goes. How thick is the laminate on the front?
What did it cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

It cost, a lot haha. The laminate is about 3mm.

I'm not sure what type of lam this is, I assume the normal glue type.

think you might need to oil the back and place some bat tape strategically along the edge and then you are ready to go into a match with no questions asked.

I've put some bat wax on the whole bat, but the main cleft is very white. I've been doing some knocking in but I'll do another coat at least.

I will apply a hammer edge, but not sure if I could bring myself to put edge tape the whole way up the bat!

can you not get an edge sticker off someone and stick it at the top of the bat upto the shoulder?

I think that is probably the actual size as well, so might not be long enough.

The edge tape idea is the best idea I think.

When hitting it with a mallet or ball it produces quite a noticeable springy feeling, and it's not coming from the handle if you get me, but the blade.

It's pretty clear why they were banned, you can tell it will send the ball further, a bit like a golf driver or wood that has a more flexible face.

Does anyone know what's in between the joint apart from glue? I have heard some lams have rubber in them.

hum.. not that I like cheating but...  Are rubber ones really that much better?  If so I might risk one for the T20's as I slog in that anyway so might as well have a illegal bat if it sends it further.

Yep, at club level it's not going to make much difference and with all the bad sportsmanship that goes on and cheating umpires, just sod it really. I will use a lam but always walk if I nick it, so I won't be a complete cheat, so I can justify using one.

That's unless it's a joke and I'm hitting 130 meter sixes, then I might reconsider.

I've given up in games about being sporting. already this year in 3 games I've seen someone not walk and a team appeal for things that are miles down leg.
