Yep, back to sitting on top of the Test and ODI Rankings, don't know for how long but we are back up there!

Fair play very impressive for quite a long time.

Deserved. Clarke and boof have shown the way to the stale ECB.

Definitely the best group of cricketers playing as a team in the recent past - I'd suggest that's more Boof than anyone.

I'm not convinced we are the best group of cricket players though.  Still feel the batting is suspect.

We definitely need to sort out our no 3 and 4 batting spots before we can be seriously considered as the best in the world...

Yeah I agree. Thats why I said "for now" in the title.

Stoked that we are back up there but we definitely aren't consistent enough at this stage I don't think.

Yeah fair play. I hope your bowlers stick around long enough for England to come roaring back in the 2015 series and deliver a bit more of a fight. I would have liked to seen this attack against the 2009/10 England side in their pomp.

I think it would have been down to the fact aus can't really bat when you had a fully fit swann, flintoff roaring at them. Who are both better (we'll say 2009 swann was better than 2013 one!) than the offerings eng showed this time.

I think the aus bowlers would have still done damage to the eng batsmen as they bowled with intelligence to cook, trot would probably have the same issues with the short ball. KP was better then though, and Prior.

Exactly. 3/4 years ago all of our batsman were making big runs whereas for the last 18 months all of them have been struggling to get it off the square.
