hahaha that is actually laughable, how can this bloke operate like that? its ridiculous, does he not have any morals. Didn't once try and answer why the bat may have ended up cracking or express any concern or try to apologise. crazy

Wow for a small bat maker it's all about the service they provide as that is what differentiates them from a big maker that is just spitting out bats.

This guy is really killing his business.

Must be an over-dried bat sitting somewhere in warm weather for long time.
Must've forgotten to water it while it was in the plant pot!

Ya dealing with guy has been unreal. I couldn't believe he expected me to lift the dispute after he has been trying to screw me on everything from the beginning.

#1 He charged me over 100GBP more than he charged my brother a week later.
#2 He didn't send me the bat he sent me pictures of.
#3 We found pictures of the exact bat he sent me on his facebook page that was posted last year in October, and in those pics it was already oiled up and didn't look new.
#4 He tried to get me to gift him the money via paypal which would've left me helpless in case of a dispute.
#5 He never tried to help me out with a refund or replacement even after offering to ship the bat back at my own expense. Which I did this morning for $60 CAD.

Wait for the service you get from Laver & Wood mate. They take it to a new level of professionalism, and their bats are amazing.

I ordered a bat from SAF around 18 months ago which never turned up: Andy gave all sorts of excuses, been overseas at family funeral, bat stuck in Customs in Japan, etc. it took posts on here (he was a sponsor at the time) to apply enough pressure to get a refund after 5 months! After that experience, I decided I should try a Lekka and emailed James with my requirements. He sent me biggest piece of s$@t I have EVER seen: 4 grains, nothing like the profile we discussed, etc but I was so over the whole bat ordeal thing that I just gave up and never even complained to him (I had only paid $250au). That bat sits in the corner of office to remind me to do proper research before handing over the cash...

A friend of mine who knows a lot more than me about bats highly recommended them. And I have to say talking to Anthony at Laver & Wood has been a pleasure. I also did some research and I found a lot of happy customers.

Have no idea why anyone would trust that loon. Anyone that posts 'sterling speaks the truth and CNN are up in arms' (referring to the clippers owner), needs their heads examining! Not sure whether he's stupid, or a nasty piece of work, or both.

Believe me, if you go down his page even further it gets a lot worse.

Funny thing is I have a second hand cracked Lekka Warrior and I think it is a great bat. I see the offers he has for his bats and think they are the profile I'm looking for at an attractive price.

Then every now and then, he does something or something is posted on here and I think that it's time to runaway bravely.

Is it within the forum rules to ask who made the Warrior bats?

I was told i was mentioned here by someone so thought i should reply.

Im sorry  but come on, how hard were you hitting the bat with the mallet and what mallet were you using and secondly, might be your photos but last time i checked surface cracks dont have big white marks above the crack, this looks like saw dust, again could be the photo but i have seen this on my refurbed bats if a bit of saw dust is not wiped away before applying scuff sheet are is brought up if surface crack has not been fully closed and saw dust hasnt been cleared off..

Again photos are photos so could be light shining off and 99% of you will be thinking am i really James from Lekka. I have purchsed 6 bats from him, and the only had an issue with 2. one of them got a broken handle (happen with any bat on this forum or the world) and the second got a split shoulder, (again could happen to any bat on this forum or otherwise.)

To i12breakfree....thank you for putting me in contact with this thread much appreciated

taken out of context that could look pretty bad...

I am going to lock this now as I don't see much value in debating the ins and outs of this.

Personally I haven't seen a bat do this before it is all a bit odd. Usually in that scenario the maker would want the bat back to see what had happened.
