Slazenger V200 Elite Bat Repair
« on: May 02, 2014, 08:01:04 AM »

Heres another bat i've just repaired. As you can see it was a bit of a mess when i started. There are a couple of sections where the wood has come away and been lost so there isn't much i can do with that but heres the before and after shots.
The guy doesn't like faces on bats so i'll be adding some edge tape to protect the repair and he will no doubt add his own stickers.

Bat Clamped up

After Repair
Forgot to take pictures of the toe which ill do tonight and ill also take a picture with the fibre tape and grip added.

Here's the final pictures before it went back to the guy who asked me to clean it up. Must have done a good job as it made 70 the same day!

Damaged edge protected with fibre tape

you can see the chunk that is missing from this shot

Great job, shame that he didn't still have that chip of wood! Good to hear he scored some runs with it afterwards, always makes them want to come back for repairs again! ;)

Yea I reckon if he had kept the piece I could have made it look pretty much perfect but I made sure I put plenty of glue in there so stop anything else coming away!
Thanks for the comment!  :)

I use 2 different types of sander, a drum sander and a belt sander. Then just added some linseed oil to finish.
