Bairstow's Bat
« on: May 05, 2014, 10:04:57 AM »

Watching the live game and seeing the edges and spine height on Johnny's bat and it looks a big bat,
Plus love the heartwood down the outside edge as well.

Was very surprised to turn on the tv and see it on! Normally they only do one CC match a season  :o.

GN website saying Bairstow has signed with them, and in one of the pics it has #powerspot. Obviously that doesnt necessarily mean he is using the standard profile though

Yup, pretty similar, just less meat in the shoulders. Looks a lovely profile, all the wood in the hitting zone. :)

Just nice to see a professional player using a bat with heartwood and not a perfect no blemish bat

I think some of you would be horrified by the looks of a lot of players bats, seen plenty at GN and Kook that going by some thoughts here no one would touch.

I've seen one of Matt Hayden's bats and it was pig-ugly. 6 uneven grains, but pinged!
