I am a fan of pitching the ball in the same area for 6 balls rather than use all this change ups that never go to plan.....
Certainly reduces your chances of those wicket taking long hops and full tosses....

Funnily enough, I can turn the off spinner square, but I do throw it. Yet my other one, the leg spinner that come sout of the front of the hand. Is a legitimate ball.

So I tend to ball 5 straight ones, and one Leggie and over............ It does not work.

As a pupil of the leg spinners art I've been trying to go through the loop which seems to have not only introduced me to the basics of off spin but also a type of off spinners back spinner. It will take a fair bit of practice to make it feel right but any of the off spinners use this?

This is something like what I was thinking of. Am I right in thinking this is a type of off-spin but with the back of the hand facing the bowler?

Variations I have used include a back spin. Cock your wrist back a little and drag your fingers under the ball on the release, screws up the bounce a little.
Occasional top spinner, arm ball that can drift away, the dead slow one that will just die on the batsman and a wrong un that comes off the ring finger instead of the index creating leg spin.

That all in the past though as I have now declared my intent to bat at number 3  :D  Well I am the skipper ;)
