Pleased to announce that along with Lords, Pro Direct Cricket, Talent Cricket, and Somerset County Sports we will be exclusive stockists of the new TON Legacy bat.

The bat is available in very limited numbers in the UK for 2014, it will progress to become the flagship range with different grades and price points for 2015.

It will be used by Sangakarra, Ravi Bop and any other TON sponsored players (Indian players unconfirmed yet) playing in the England v Sri Lanka & England v India series this Summer. A certain Freddie Flintoff will also be using the Legacy when he returns to club cricket and if rumours are true, the professional game this Summer.

These very exclusive bats arrived into the UK today and we are going tomorrow to handpick our allocation. Anyone who wants one should contact me ASAP as these are in very short supply (less than 100) - I believe we will be the first retailer to pick our stock but i do not know for sure, so don't want to make any false claims.

All retailers will be selling them at £200. We offer free delivery and i will knock the bat in for free as an offer to forum members.

Here is a little preview, proper pictures of our stock will be posted tomorrow.

Edit, here is a picture of the bat to show the shape, you can see a few examples in the background showing the quality of grains etc. All bats weigh 2'8 - 2'10.

What makes these different to the other bats in the range? Different shape or purely different stickers?

Great idea TON but with only a 100 bats too many retailers will spoil it

Newer stickers, basically less 'bumpf' on the back of the bat. This is what the 2015 stickers are probably going to look like as the brand tries to move away from plastering the entire bat with stickers, this will be a gradual process over a period of time but this is the first step. Also the exclusivity of only being available in limited numbers and from certain retailers. The bat will be endorsed by TON sponsored players this Summer.

Hmmmm I like the idea of exclusivity but surely it's not really exclusive if 5 possibly 6 retailers are stocking it?

It is certainly more exclusive than it being available to every retailer, do you not agree?

Are these made from players willow?

Not sure. What does players willow mean anyway? It isn't a term i have ever seen used by Sareen.

We might be stocking this too.  I am visiting TON tomorrow and should know more then...

I won't be there Paul, but you might bump into Robin. :)

It's less than 100, not sure on the exact figuire but i believe it is 70-80, and to my knowledge all the bats have already been allocated to the 5 retailers mentioned.

Will at least be interesting to have a look at these Legacy bats in the flesh, even if they can't allocate any more to us to stock.  To be honest, it would be nice to see a bit more innovation from TON, but at least it's a step in the right direction and wholesale changes can take time...

Are they made from a lighter density cleft with it being a limited edition run?

Like the way you displayed them. Didn't think much about SS TON, however I just returned two of them and am pretty impressed with the materials. Wish I lived in the UK just so I could have access to the variety of bats to hold and compare.

This isn't our display. It is a picture sent out by TON to the retailers who are stocking the bat. Robin is there picking up our bats right now.

As for low density, i don't know yet. All will be revealed this afternoon. :)

I thought that would be an awesome way to display bats.

Then realised i'd panic as I walked into store, picked one up to wield and swing and watched the other 3 crash down and bounce off each other putting knocks into the back of the bat.

So in terms of shape I guess they would be the same as the I-Bat they do  ???
