Best 2.8 bat for less than £90 posted
« on: May 14, 2014, 09:01:33 PM »

As per topic title, what is the best option for the scrawny cricket bat connoisseur with little space in their overdraft for silly priced willow?

Pakistani, Indian or English brands?

Keep an eye out for newish second hands and don't be shy of putting in cheeky offers.

How about giving Spartan MC 4000 a look, it falls right in your range and a few of the forum sponsors have some in stock (hand picked).

Any idea of what sponsors? I'm quite interested.

Recently got the Chris Gayle Spartan bat, very much impressed by it.

Here is a video that Paul from IJC did of top 5 bats in his shop (April 2014) and mentions the MC for 99.99.

Yeah I looked at that before, but they don't have any left on the website apart from the 2.10 ones.

I have MC 4000 bats at 2'9, 2'10 and 2'11. £120 with free delivery.

I also have the MS Dhoni Fighter at 2'10 for £99 with free delivery.

What grade is the MS Dhoni Fighter bat?

I'm afraid the MC 4000 is a little out of my price range

'Grade 5'

I'm not sure who does the grading though.
