Slazenger are Indian bats, aren't they?

Not all slazenger bats are Indian made some are made in the uk and I found the v6 five star to be a cracking bat  :)

I did know that, actually. Have we found out who is making them, now that it's not Fearnley?

I noticed during the coverage yesterday that Ian Bell's gloves are a little different to the general release ones.He has a lot less orange on the fingers. Or maybe they are just taped over with white tape/coloured in white?

He's taped them - probably just a preference as there's no Kook branding on the fingers.  Have to agree if so, the orange is a bit much and they look much better after he's modified them.  Also has the old style masuri grill on the new lid.

I'll bet that Jordan will have a sponsor as soon as he makes the test team (if not by the end of the ODI series).

Back to helmets - Jayawardene is wearing what has to be the thinnest grill I've ever seen - looks like its made out of wire!

Anyone got a picture of that?

Also of the Priyanna grill peak gap?

Admittedly it doesn't look too bad in this pic (select second picture along - http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-sri-lanka-2014/content/image/747617.html?object=49289) - maybe that its darker, looks very thin on TV though.  He also seems to have changed grill - he always had a very close-fitting one for years.

That's one of the lower models of the Vision Series, not all of them have the double bar grille.

I suppose some players are more reluctant than others to embrace the double grille. Having worn it, it really does line up so your eyes only 'see' one bar, but i can see why some are reluctant.

Looking forward to some more kit spots over the Summer. It won't be very long before Cook is wielding a bat from the 2015 range!

In a match the thigh pads are worn under trousers so there shouldn't be a problem with logos - hence branded Aeros.  Don't see why shouldn't be the same for Strettons, and likewise for chest guards.  However arm guards are on show in a match.

Your not allowed a logo on armguards apparently my mate who plays for Lahore got half his match fee taken from him for forgetting to put tape over the remfry sign.

Understood. We did spot a player who had to drop his trousers mid innings (had a few beers so i can't recall if this was because of injury or for some adjustments down there) and George instantly said 'look there they are, my guards!' - These were also unbranded though.

It's a only a side point really, that came up when i was browsing the espn photos and saw that one of Perera with Aero P1's.

Have to admit, I think the masuri helmets and grills look pretty good.  It will be interesting to hear how sales go as exposure to them grows over the English summer (especially the India test series).  I have a strong suspicion we will see them increasingly on town and village club pitches...

Any news on ranges from the big boys for 2015 yet??

Since we have got stock of the new Masuris they have sold at pretty much their standard rate. A couple of people haven't been happy with the weight (only the club and test models in steel are available currently) but mostly if people arrive to buy a Masuri, they leave with one. If they arrive to buy a helmet, then many are opting for an Aditek or a GN.

Nothing much yet. Only the standard rumour mill. Couple of brief words about colour schemes but it will the next couple of months where we will see early news.
