Gm "f2 zona" players editon. What were gm thinking?
« on: May 27, 2014, 03:24:09 PM »

Now I understand that Shane Watson doesn't use a zona, so it's gonna be a different profile(Jason claims flare profile) but why label it an f2 when it's a f7 shape.

Gms 3faces can confuse most non cbf ers anyway, but having a bat there charging 400plus for labelled up like this is just baffling in my eyes.

Surely they could have out f7 stickers on or not at all?

pink/white/whatever tend to fly off my bat a little nicer than any red ball i've ever used. This is less noticeable with a really, really high quality ball in red or coloured options, but certainly on the cheap/mid ranges a coloured ball flys more.

Back to the stickering, as the Zona is an F2 profile it carries F2 stickers, despite the player edition not being an F2 shape. A little confusing but it is expensive to get different sets of stickers made up, especially in small numbers like they would be for the player edition bats.

Other companies do it. We had a GN Nemesis custom made for a customer from LE willow. It carries Players stickers as the Nemesis is only available in 4 star or Players models.

White balls when new will rebound as well or better than red, if it was an old ball it might be different. They are great bats though.
