It's arrived!  :D



Proper pics to follow but I'm delighted to finally own one of these that's in decent condition!

Pics up nicely, not got scales in the office but guessing the weight is about 2lb10.5 (will find out later)

For less than £40 posted this could be the best purchase I've made.

Beat me to an almost identicle post!!! Picked one up today off gumtree! Would you prefer I start my own thread so as not to hijack this one?

Feel like I got a wonka factory golden ticket.
At some time have some worry as mines Academy and quite light :(

Picked up today after seeing it on Gumtree.

GM Purist 5* Original Academy size.

Weight feels okay but might be too small a handle. Interesting the blade is longer than the Uzi SH.

Back has been used to hit some thin stumps :'(

Anybody know what XB stamped and painted on the handle means?

Grip removed as degrading, bat tape on tow being difficulty removed ATM.





10 straight grains



I love the graping where the middle is, hate those stump dents :(







Toe opening up/feathering needs some glue I think



What do people think it's worth?

newbury uzi is a short blade long handle t20 style bat. hence the purist being bigger in blade.


its err well used. not sure them dents will come out, and the graping ain't my thing. but to others it be worth it.


came looks brand new in comparison

Nice try but it's the same weight as my match bats!
Might give her a go tomorrow if I get a bat  :)

There not stump marks, there are marks from studs in a bag, not spikes, the bottom of the bag.... I think
