To be honest, you're better off using a bat similar to what you normally use in 50 over cricket. Maybe even a touch heavier, with a bit more meat around the toe, since you'll be trying to hit some balls into tomorrow, so a thicker toe may help prolong the life!

That's what I currently use now. In theory though, the tt and Cor3 make a lot of sense. What am I missing ? Do they just not feel right ?

I was considering a COR3, but brought a TORQ instead. I think the short splice is more than a gimmick and feels responsive in the hands. Apparently the COR3 has a lower middle than the TORQ but I'm not complaining as the bat is fine for driving off the front foot.

I've taken the shoulders down an inch on a eBay bat to see what effect it had on pickup and it felt alright.

I have Newbery Uzi and know the finish will be good, but I think the Mongoose would be good for t20 and more forgiving and possibly a better discount. Mind is  Series (grade 3) and it should be available for a good price.

Now that is my opinion based purely on reading reviews and watching YouTube. In Australia we can't get either brand and are fed a lean diet of Kookaburra, GN, GM, Spartan and Puma.
