SS gladiator
« on: June 07, 2014, 03:04:18 PM »

Was after a v6 or a v12 but bought this instead...

No introduction required for this model

2.8, feather light pickup.
10 dead straight grains..

Knocked it for less then one hour....but it has responded really well...definitely not taking it to tomorrows match...but will be my match bat next weekend.

Comparing it to my max power.....

I have a soft corner for max power which has been the best bat i have ever held....and i still think that max power is better then gladiator which is 100 pounds cheaper then gladiator

Looks decent, pretty straight grains, heavily concaved like majority of SS bats. From where you sourced it ? mind sharing price ?

I have a massive soft spot for the Gladiator, love mine to death.

Surprised you bought a Gladiator when you love the Max Power so much...

Yes, they do. If any particular model which doesnt have any concaving ,  only BAS players comes to my mind from my own exp. but if you search hard in a shop, there will be ample of them without concaving. Brandwise, I have found SF to have least numbers of bats coming with heavy concaving....

I saw someone using a BAS bat yesterday, one of the lower end models, was a beautiful shape.

No concaving at all, had a thick duck bill toe, with a long bow.

Reminded me of an old shape Mjolnir but an oversized version.
