Chris Taylor fielding as a sub in Lord's test match?

Just saw Chris Taylor fielding as a substitute fielder  , how is this possible? can just anybody go and field as a sub in a test match?

Yeah I'm under the impression that for home series a local county player not involved in a county game will be sub. Remember Gary Pratt coming on as a sub for Simon Jones and running out Ponting? In away series they just utilise the the tour squad.

Used to be the ground staff a while ago. Would be good to go back to that I think
