Tejas
I had some issues too from my recent order. I have ordered 5 bats from Laver and wood and requested to have 1/2" longer blade on all of them and super short handle with no scuff sheet fitted but sent with the package. After receiving the bats here is what i found
1. 4 bats are made to Super short handle and Standard Blade size
2. 1 bat is made to exact specification
3. No scuff sheets sent
4. Asked for specific grips , they didn't have them in stock so they sent me some lose which they have in stock.
5. almost all bats have picked up weight, i ordered 2.11 and most of them came at 2.11.1 on scales when i weighted as soon i took the bats out of the package. As of yesterday they all weight close to 2.12.10 now

I have sent a feedback email to Anthony with the things that I felt were not handled properly with my order.

Sorry to hear it has t gone to plan mate. Its a shame as in some ways I really like L&W bats but always been out off buying due to weight never appearing to be correct. Does also look like a small bat for the weight regardless of the fact its only 2.8

Sorry to hear that mate. I am sure the guys at Laver will do everything they can to rectify the problems. I have never bought a special reserve before and would assume that they, like all lower grade bats take a bit longer to open up. I think what we have also learned is to ask for a photo of the final weight (Gripped, scuff sheet applied etc) before it leaves NZ.
I have always and will continue to support Laver as I have always had the most superb bats turn up on my doorstep. Miles better than anything I have ever used (Although my new H4L is looking pretty sweet).
It is a big investment for you so you are well within your rights to ask for the problems to be fixed.

Well if you compare it to the Redback (2-9) it does look small for a 2-8.5 with shorter blade & handle as they both have long spine and similar edge sizes.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about Laver quality and service. In terms of the performance I have no doubts that the bat will open up and perform. Lets hope at least the scuff sheet issues are resolved cause I had ordered them for club mates and they specifically asked for ones with edge protection.

After reaching out to Anthony they agreed to replace them with correct specs. My pervious laver and wood bats have played really well like some of you said they took little while to open up.
