Hi lads - just wondering if someone can shed some light on something. Does anybody have a current Chase bat or have used one recently?  If so can you describe the handle shape - as Im picky about handles.  They look online to be the kind of handle I like but it is hard to tell just from pictures.  Cheers

No used a chase but, but I'm pretty sure if you go direct, they can make any handle shape

I have one of the first, with a round handle.

The last two I have seen have had oval handles.

It's definitely feels bigger in your hand and the bottom and is very oval! I guess I would say the sides are quite 'flat'.

However you want to describe it the handles feel nice haha

I'd say they have a smaller circumference (thinner) than most at the top and very oval at the bottom. I really like it as it reminds me of my old screaming cat.

If you've used other bats, I'd say that it's very different to a Salix, Affinity, RPC, or Newbery and more like a M&H or Laver, but that's IMO from the bats I've owned.

Went to chase recently, the only way to describe it is that the handle is almost a continuation of the blade.  Sort of extends on the same angle as the shoulders.  Its big at the bottom, and oval although flat at the face.

Feels great I think and means, generally 1 grip is enough (I normally have 2 or 3).

That's a proper handle on that chase bat, none of the lollipop sticks you get on most bats these days ..... Sure thin handles are done so more weight is in the bat so they can  have big edges but then it just feels so wrong!

Thanks for information lads . I would like to try a chase handle but no stockists particularly nearby . Bit of a long shot but does anyone have a fairly recent chase bat which is maybe knackered which could be sent to me and then sent back . Just so I can decide on the handle shape .  I would pay postage both ways of course .
