Trip to uzi sports
« on: June 24, 2014, 08:57:31 PM »

After spending a few days at legoland with the family i managed to persuade the mrs to spend an extra night in swindon, i was pretty shocked when she aggreed as we live in yorkshire and its not really on the way home . Luckerly there was a massive ballpool round the corner from uzi's so they dropped me off and i was quite excited and gobsmacked walking in and seeing the top quality willow that Asad had to offer.
I had bought a bat off asad before and exchanged a few emails but had never met asad before but i have to say what a true gent he is. After nearly 3hours in the shop chatting with asad over cups of tea and buisciits i decided to go with these two beauties, bat one on the left uzi pro , 2.9 ish picks up like a dream, grainolicious and pings great with the mallet
Bat 2 is the only uzi pro bat not to be made in england and is a sort of prototype i suppose its 2.9 ish and massive 38 mm edge, 58 mm spine a lot of concaving and quite softly pressed.

Also picked up a gem of a size 3 for my 6 year old.
Just like to thank asad again, his enthusiasam for top quality bats certanally shines through and thanks for showing me your sons bat and one of sachins,
It really is worth the trip to see the bats asad has in stock

I thought the pro bats were actual pro bats (e.g. Simon's Misbah bat). I might have got confused though, it doesn't take much!  :-[

Thanks Simon , basically we do 3 ranges
1. Pro
2. LE
3. Grade 1

All pro bats are made in England from selected clefts. Richard has taken the only pro bat which is not made here in UK.
