Surrey / London / Home counties 28th or 29th June?
« on: June 25, 2014, 09:41:28 PM »

It's looking like we may not be able to rustle up a side this saturday which will leave me short of a game which given the number of cancelled games this year would be gutting. I'm an opening bat (though i'll consider any offers...), occasional medium pacer and frankly iffy fielder, looking for a fixture this weekend (ideally saturday) in Surrey / London / home counties area, don't mind a bit of a drive.  As for standard, anything up to moderate league standard though not too fussy. Any offers?

I've let the skippers know at my club, chum. Will be in touch if I hear anything.  :D

Could get you a game in our 3's away to Wimbledon. Who do you play for currently and what sort of level is that?

Malcolm, Sorry that it was scrapped. I couldn't believe it when our 3's gave me the call to let me know. Hopefully we can get you a game another weekend.

No apology needed, just a bit ironic given the opportunity came about thanks to my team scratching. Not sure about next weekend at the moment, still feel i should stay loyal to my current club but we'll see what the future holds.

Unlucky Felix. I guess it just wasn't your destiny to play that week. :-[

My luck turned yesterday when I took up Matt's request for players for a friendly in Shackleford for Phené Philanderers.  A good fun afternoon, nice bunch of guys, made a few runs to boot (triggered on 49  ;))

Malcolm,

Thanks for stepping in and helping me out. Hopefully we can get you a few games in the season with them. I must apologise for my poor shot to get out on. Never mind huh. Have you ever seen a ruthless captain taking a bowler off after taking 2 wickets for very little? I thought you were unlucky to be triggered. But that is what Sunday friendlies are all about :)
