Vic love your SS mate, but those bats were destined to be exported.  That's a plus point for OLS to get ahold of them.  Ask him if he sells locally in India and I think you'll see he'll say no.  I have asked him before to ship stuff to a friend who was in India  and he told me he can't ship anything within India.  Some people on his Facebook complain of the same issue.

Only one of them was purchased through OLS (the most recent LE), the other two (the older model LE and the Gladiator) were purchased in shops in India (one in Delhi and one in Punjab), so, as far as I can see, the quality for home consumption is the same as that for OS customers.

I feel Indian (and Pakistani) companies are unfairly maligned on these forums by those who have never used their bats.

All the pros are using them - even when stickered up with their own sponsors logos, so they must be some good?

I can't speak for others but I have a SS heritage which bought from OSL and the finishing on that bat is very disappointing compared to another SS Heritage our skipper bought in UK.

So in my experience there is a clear difference in quality .

In my experience that's really only on this forum. I get comments all the time from non indian/ pakistani players about my bats and where they can get the same.

I don't see that the indian or Pak bats are in anyway maligned on here, I think that is a bit of a myth.

SS/TON bats are usually lusted after and the MSR bats and CA pats are typically excellent.

Personally I would love one of the pro sareen bats!!

Other than the "it'll be over dried" comments I don't think there's too much of this.

My dad's CA T20 is a gun (and a few seasons old) so they're decent and last in my experience.

I'd love a Ton bat without any stickers (still with the stamps though). They're decent bats and that looks proper smart.

I have a SS TON reserve edition (top end) and it flies off the middle. Huge bat for such a light weight as well but it is cracking up easily. If you buy them you just gotta accept they wint last too long but be great while you've got it.....that's what I've found

Oil certainly helps as does a good quality anti-scuff sheet.
