They pay the most to sponsor players to wear their gloves I'd imagine!  ;)

That doesn't make sense because rest of their gear is sponsor by other companies...

The players prefer those gloves. It is not a question of getting paid to wear them as BAS could never afford to sponsor Sachin

That is true but sponsorship price is based on piece of equipment. So there are different prices to sponsor a player for a helmet vs full gear.
Sachin wore BAS gloves but they were branded as Adidas in later part of his career.
Even Raina does the same now .

I have a pair of bas gloves and for sausage style gloves are very comfortable and offer great protection. So much so that I have only worn my choice praetorian gloves once this season

I agree gents. I've had plenty of gloves over the years and my BAS sausage fingers are absolutely brilliant. Super comfortable straight out of the packet with excellent protection. I must admit, I'm a bit of a Kohli fan and that prompted my purchase.

I would back the comfort argument.

We all know about it when equipment is uncomfortable/ ill fitting etc and the likes of SS make very nice looking good quality and generally comfortable equipment but I recently tried some BAS and KG gloves and was actually really surprised by how much more comfortable they are!! I would expect this to be more important if I was playing long forms of the game, etc and whilst I don't think the BAS gloves the Indian players use are particularly nice looking, that's probably less important to them.

I'm been watching the test/odi series and it appears that Dhoni has been wearing a BAS glove with spartan bits stuck onto it - I'm not sure that Spartan will be too chuffed given that he's got the commercial clout to influence what thousands of young Indian cricketers buy....I'm sure it'll be the BAS glove every time....
