box movement jock strap etc
« on: July 13, 2014, 07:01:17 AM »

Now then chaps

I have been increasingly annoyed by the movement of my box and have to constantly adjust it. I have never used a jock strap but I have tried batting shorts from various brands. Aero ones are nice but the pouch is too loose to offer full protection and I feel that some bit is not covered.

Any recommendations will be much appreciated.

The best fit I have found is to wear a tight brief but it is not ideal on a sweaty afternoon.

Ah the old shifting box. I have found the best thing for me is a pair of snug boxer shorts with the jock strap over the boxers. Box then goes between the boxers and jock strap.  ;)

Forget the pad shorts, rubbish invention.   :D

Thanks Fvan I think it has got in to my head so much that I think it is moving even when it is not. Are all jock straps same or would you recommend any particular one.

If you want to wear a jockstrap try the Kookaburra jockstrap with pouch or Shock Doctor jockstrap with pouch. . You can wear them by themselves or over the top of compression pants (this works very well).
If you want to wear regular type underwear try the Gray Nic cricket briefs or Gray Nic boxer shorts. Both have pouches which hold the box securely.
If you want compression style pants with a pouch try Underarmour compression wear. They do both full length and half length compression pants with built in pouch and work very well.

Agree with FvanN, I use an ice hockey one. Box between boxers/briefs and jock strap.

Something like this:

aero briefs work fine. a pair of compression shorts over the top.

the boxers pants combo sounds really uncomfortable to me!

aero thigh length jocks over aero briefs with aero cup within the briefs pocket. once in place, no chance of movement...

I have issues with my 010 shorts. My box never sits in a comfortable position.

Anyone recommend a box to that fits well?

I use the GN boxers with a puma box.  Don't have a problem with anything moving about...

I have ordered aero briefs. Already have aero box and under armour compression.

I use the aero shorts with aero box, fits really well. Used to use a shockdoctor box but I found it moved around more than the aero.

Box underneath skins on top of briefs, so in between two layers.

Never have any movement.
