Thinnest batting pads

What are some thin batting pads?

My pads are too big, they're too bulky, in fact in terms of height they're slightly too small but that doesn't bother me as much as them being about 4 inches thick from your knee to the outisde of the knee roll, I need THIN pads.

I'm wearing Ihsan ones at the moment just because I stumbled across top of the range ones for £20 so they got snapped up, but tapping my bat at the crease I'm having to consciously avoid getting my gloves/handle caught on my pads, it can't be helping me play straight.

Also, the protection on the Ihsan pads is ridiculously good, as in so good it's just unecessary, you get a rapid full toss straight onto your pads and literally can't feel it touch you. I'm prepared to sacrifice a lot of protection to get some thinner ones but annoyingly, it's not something anywhere on the internet mentions.

I'd guess the Morrant pads would cover this - expensive mind

Pretty sure some of the cheaper pads from the big companies would be thinner, mainly because the increased padding wouldn't be there

from what I have used, SS/Ton Gladiator and Puma Platinum 5000 i.e. they provide the best of both worlds, protection and fit,  I can vouch for puma pads.

Sports direct do some fabric faced Fernley ones, very thin and no danger they'll offer any "unnecessary protection"  ;)

But you will need to wear two pairs on top of each other.

I've got a set of M&H T2's, they have a set of removable shin guards for use in the field. If you take them out you are simply left with the pad which is feather light, I use them in the nets all of the time with no problem at all.

i agree i think they look quite good

just had an email from m&h the t1 softs are reduced pads are £60 and gloves are £48

I might try the M&H if they were reduced, but can recommend VKS Superlites at Under £40- you may need to adjust the straps though. I've not long done a review in the VKS section.
