BAS Plain G1++ Review
« on: November 04, 2009, 01:10:09 PM »

After all the good feedback I had hear on this forum for assports I decided to go down and visit Asad with the intention of getting a new bat.

I met Asad at his house where he had selected a few (well about 30 or 40!) bats for me to have a look at. I was amazed generally at the size and weight of these bats. In the end after an hour or two of tapping up and and trying out I decided to get this BAS Plain G1++.

Weight 2.11 with 1 grip, edge size 35mm, spine height 60mm. Ten grains with some redwood on the the outside edge. The face doesn't look that clean/special (there were some MB Bubber Sher's there with 15 plus ruler straight grains - but a little bottom heavy for me) but boy does the ball fly off it - can't wait till its knocked in.

Some pics...

Finally I would like to personally thank Asad for allowing me so much time to look through some of the great bats he has in his stock (and they were all he could get in his car from the warehouse!).

I can only endorse all the comments I have read on this forum - greats bats and a great guy to deal with.

Yes I know what you mean

I only called it the Grade 1++ to correspond with the item description on the AS Sports website (http://www.assports.co.uk/prod.asp?productid=61)

As I said I not the prettiest but the ball came off it the best.
