I've been scouring through replays - yet to find one.

He 100% bowled it. They were doing various segments during the play on it during Sri Lanka tests. They didn't all necessarily all exactly turn in the other direction, some just simply went straight on but in the action of a doosra.

afraid so. I don't want to be accused of a national bias, the fact is the doosra can only be bowled with a bent arm.  on that basis it will look like a throw regardless.

his is less blatant than others.

I'm fairly sure he got Kohli in the second innings with a doosra? Might be wrong

Haha.  Agree with Buzz, doosra is bit like throw...ICC seems to be ok with it :(

Moeen doesn't chuck it... How dare you. It's a totally fair, legal and legitimate delivery, as all the videos will show you.....

I'm sure those who wish to see so will see like most want to see. I've not seen a single fault in his action when bowling.

How come nobody remembers how Saqlain bowled it? Nobody ever questioned his action...ever. To say doosra = chucking is silly. Its like saying trying to bowl quick leads to chucking - some bowlers chuck trying to bowl the doosra, but the inventor himself was never doubted.

the highlight of this is Sir Geoff's commentary at around 8.20

I think Saqlain bowled it differently to Ajmal and co.... his uses a rounder arm and more of a wrist flick

I think the “chuck” version of the doosra was basically a result of the rest of the world trying to reverse engineer how Saqlain did it. Nobody knows how he did it – but the necessity of trying to develop one led to the modern day version with the bent elbow. Anyway, from what I’ve read, Moeen does have one – but it apparently lacks pace, because he makes an extra effort to keep the elbow straight.
