Bowler's union
« on: August 11, 2014, 09:12:33 PM »

So, I'm a collector of willow, and an ever improving batsman, but really I'm a bowler.  Tall, military medium seam these days, with a bit of inducking.

If you're a bowler, what do you do?

Fast-medium pace bowler, can get it too swing away but only when I try really hard. Mainly it's in swing with a slower ball that gets people a lot at our place.

Off-breaks with the odd arm ball, over-spinner, top-spinner, quicker ball and doosra thrown in for good measure.

Sundays... Some rank flighty leg-spin steak and kidney's.

Non turning off breaks with a medium pace arm ball.

On Sundays I occasionally bowl slow medium swingy things that get hit about a bit.
Also been working in my one step left arm over in the nets, just in case!  ;)

Many wickets about the forums medium pace brigade?

I only play Saturdays due to family commitments but am up to 32 at 8's, not to bad considering we've had 5 rained off.

I am medium pace seam bowler where I can get the ball to swing away appreciably.  Have 4 different slower balls, 3 with decent control and the 4th one is awesome when I can get it to pitch but 99 times out of 100 someone id fetching it from the boundary. Have pretty good control on line and length and can bowl cutters with the old ball.
