Ideal Bag
« on: August 12, 2014, 07:18:49 PM »

I've searched through the forum and the last time this topi came up was well over a year ago. Has anyone been successful to date in finding a reasonably priced cricket bag that can:
- store a pair of boots.
- separate pocket for change of clothes
- separate pocket for a helmet
- section for 2 cricket bats
- small pocket for keys, wallet etc.
- main compartment can comfortably fit one pair of pads, gloves, box, thigh guard etc.
- built from quality materials.

So far I'm looking at the mongoose super premium bag. Any opinions on these ?

Thanks

The Affinity Juggernaut is the best bag I've had by far.  The only criteria that it doesn't fit for you is the bat storage section, I store two bats in the bottom section of the bag with my pads, gloves and thigh pads.  It's a double decker with the top section split into a clothing section and a slightly smaller boot section.  It's worth a look, Vitas had some in stock and had some photos on here.

I've got a hits hard wheelie same quality as Salix and cheaper, got a bat cave that can fit two bats, separate helmet/shoe compartment, large side pocket suitable for clothes, internal mesh pockets. Also the main section has plenty of stuff, I can fit keeping gear in it as well as full batting gear including 3 bats.

I like it except -

Not crazy about the look and it's slightly expensive.

Also can't figure out where the bats go. Would you be able to post a picture ?

Millichamp & Hall CK22 Duffle Bag is similar to Ton/Woodworm Duffle, however the from pocket will store your helmet and therefore meets all your requirements

Video reviews on IJC on both and discussed in this thread:

If a pocket for the helmet is a big deal, I have the Woodworm Duffle  (also in above thread) and am getting a separate bag for the helmet as I hate seeing knocks on my bat from the helmet.

You can get the Salix Pod Prod (which is better looking in my opinion) for the same price elsewhere.

Blank Bats have a stunner.

Loosely based on the M&H larger bag, but a whole lot cheaper.

Check out their sponsored section for pics.

The bats just go in the large bottom section of the Affinity bag.  There are no bat caves.  Vitas Cricket posted some photos on an old thread on here, you should be able to search for it.
