Right Arm Off-Break

Four main deliveries - Standard Off-Break (Normal and Over-Spinner), Top Spinner, Arm Ball and Quicker Ball.
Two I have been working on this season for next season - Doosra and Knuckle Ball.

Right arm fast (ish)

Stock ball away swing, on a seaming deck I'll usually just bowl seam up and try and nip it either way. Variations are:
Off cutter (losing this as I've bowled less the past few seasons)
Back of the hand slower - comes out much slower and cuts away
Knuckle ball slower
'Fist' slower (just whole hand grip round the ball) - shade slower and just looks different out of the hand.
Kind of carrom ball slower legcutter where I flick the third finger over the seam.

Keen to learn inswingers as I can't bowl them to save my life!

I can bowl all except the leg cutter and your 6. Slower ball. Everytime I bowl a leg cutter it sprays down leg.

Back in the day, before the knees and athletic appearance went, the cross seamer with a off cut action was lethal and used to rear up and often nip back at the throat of the batsman.

Right arm fast/medium:
Stock Ball
Faster delivery
Off cutter
Slower ball
Cross seam
Can also swing both ways with the new ball :)

Stock ball is Steak and Kidney, with a rather dubious Chicken and Mushroom for the slower decks....

I generally bowl attempted outswingers well outside of off, I do have a decent slow yorker though, probably hit it about 50% of the time.... the other 50% it comes out as a full toss and heads to the boundary.....

Right Arm Off spinner with a  "classical" style action (i dont bend my elbow!  ;))

Got the standard Offspiner,
Top spinner,
Carron ball
arm ball,
I do have a all i call the "flying saucer" which describes how the seam is as it goes down towards to batsmen. It floats down then really skids on.
i also have a bouncer (yes a bouncer off 5 steps) but havent bowled one in a few years in a game
And of course like any good offie i have the classical no spinner! natural variation is a beaut

Right arm off spin/ slow-medium

Spin variations -
Off spinner that turns
Off spinner that bounces (Occasionally get turn and bounce!)
Undercutter/arm ball (just skids on straight)
top spinner
Carrom ball leggie - flicked out with 3rd finger
Moon ball
Seam up swinger aimed at the toes.

Slow-medium -
Inswinger (stock ball)
Outswinger
Seam up
Off-cutter
Dirtbag style back of the hand ball
And a drop the arm, Malinga style sling

Before my knee injuries I used to bowl seam up with natural away swing and occasionally I could get the ball to in swing. I also had an off cutter and a slower ball off cutter. My favourite one was that I could get the ball to keep low on demand by collapsing my left leg as I landed on delivery. That would result in the point of release being lower and therefore the bounce was much lower, not that it would start rolling or anything but certainly a good 5-6 inches lower which can be enough.

A carrom ball without a bend in the elbow is really hard to do. Especially getting the distance on it. Good work! :)

Any chance of off-spinners in particular doing a video of their variations, feeling very orthadox with just my offie, and a seldom bowled topper and arm ball.

Thanks mate,
It has taken me about 5 years to get it out the right way but it still isnt as accurate as it needs to be,
I can only land about 40% in the right spot with the majority being short
I dont bowl it very often but handy to have none the less,

Don't mean to sound like an old grumpy fart,  but who can actually use all these variations successfully? We all sound like Jade Dernbach on steroids!

This season has been by far my most successful season with the ball (opening bowner who swings the ball away) and that has been due to one thing, consistency. Instead of trying to do something different with everything (imagine Dernbach on a village green being smashed by 12 year olds and old men with one leg), I have worked on line and length, aiming to make the batsman work as hard as possible.

As a result, my run rate has been reduced significantly and I have been leading the attack. This season I have used my stock delivery, the out swinger, the yorker that I have excellent consistany with and the slower ball using 3 fingers.

Sometimes less is more. (Except bats, more is always better).

There's a difference between aving them in the locker and using them.
When I bowl, my first over I try and bowl my stock offie and the only variation is the natural inconsistency in my bowling action, so it might be loopier, slower, faster or even undercut a little.
The variation i use by far the most is the seam up swinger, as I can fire that in at middle and leg, but it's easy to pick.

There was a point when all I would bowl was top spinners, and the offie would be the variation as I kept tinkering with my action, now I can't bowl the toppie, it tends to come out as a big spinning offie.

The "carrom ball" which is really a leggie flicked out of the front of the hand is also fairly easy to pick, but I tend to land 1 in 10 where I want, so it gets used only when confidence is up.

Haha Dernbach would get smashed whatever level he played!  ;)

As for if I actually can bowl all my variations - yes.
Do I bowl them all in every game - no.

I think in league cricket I've stuck to my offie (various angles on the crease and amount of flight have changed), my quicker ball and 1 doosra!

Sundays are when I practice the others until I'm confident they'll land in the right place on a Saturday.

It's also nice to say I can bowl 15 different balls, it makes my manhood feel bigger!  :D
