My New DB3 - butterfly Willow
« on: August 18, 2014, 03:36:36 PM »

Hi Guys - want to give a quick review for my first B3 purchase.  Overall service was excellent from Dave and Streaky, really liked the fact that I can see the actual cleft with density number.  I went for DB3 mainly because of the pickup and being a front foot player, weight it around 2.10 but pickup is more like 2.8~

- DB3 profile
- Think oval handle (SSH)
- 2.10 ~
- Flat face
- Ping - it;s responding very well after an hour of knocking in, still needs around 4-5 hours...but sound off the mallet is too good! I am glad that butterfly stain mark is right in the playing area.

I requested blue stickers with blue chevron grip, but it came with light blue stickers and light blue grip...but Dave told me that he will take care of it, so not too worried.

Sorry for the poor quality pictures, took it from my phone...couldn't wait to show off this bat :)

I think those light blue stickers look awesome!!

Mine cannons off the stain, wish the stain was as prominent as the one on yours

Density is 404 or 406, which is really good for butterfly willow

Parth - it took about 2 weeks to get to my door step since the order was placed, I am impressed.  Super thanks to Dave and the doctor!

it's at DB3 profile, which is basically low sweet spot with off-set edge and scooped profile...pickup is really good.

You won't be disappointed - Dave has designed a very decent shape - not that I like to admit that! Well happy with the bat I received from b3
