The repair looks thorough Cam!

...The toe guard looks like a half eaten piece of marzipan, however!

After this pics, i have a question i see the bat have some cracks in the edge, and is taped, but tape is not wrapped totally around the bat, just in the front, do this method helps pressing the crack ?? i always tought the best was to wrap completly the crack around the bat.

Cheers...

Said cracks have been dowelled and filled with glue mate, the tape was more to hold the scuff sheet down and hide the cracks than to protect them.

A belated follow up: tried your method and the problem has been arrested for over a year now. Much appreciated!  :)
