The pickup on the mogul is sublime. I bought 2 of them and before this purchase I had never purchased any GM product ever.

Correct, Player Editions come 'as is' and typically with a pickup index of 3, though i have seen one with a 2 pickup.

Considering the duffle, 909 Gloves and an 808 bat...

If you order an 808 or above you can specify the pickup index, so if you want a light bat i would advise going for pickup index of 1 or 2.

The Aura picks up very nicely owing to the weight removed from the toe, the Mogul is not a bad pickup by any means, similar to the Six6.

Any price difference between standard men's and small men's sizes? Looking at gloves in particular.

Softs are the same price across the board, aside from some of the very low end softs which become cheaper in junior sizes.

I felt that all the split finger gloves fitted my hands well, and my hands are on the smaller side. The Original LE and 808 gloves felt a little bigger on me but nothing drastic.

Long handles are available by request on certain models, but not long blade to my knowledge.

Whats the possible weight range within that 2'7-3lbs? I've seena few and their beautiful but I'm not sure I'd want to buy one on order rather than pick it physically.

It is a problem i agree, would love to hold a few in stock but they are very expensive, leaving the option of ordering in without much indication on weight. It is something we can hope to change going forward by holding a few in stock. I would say most of them are in the 2'9-2'12 weight range.

Sorry mate, I'm not sure what your point is. The question I asked is who needs a £500 cricket bat. I'm not having a dig at Vitas or GM and I certainly haven't made comparisons with apples or anything else for that matter.

Why do people need ferrari's when a fiesta would do their needs? Because they can afford to spend it I guess. I'm lucky enough to have spent a few quid this year on top end bats but doesn't mean they are guaranteed to play better.

If you look at the prices we already know GN and GM are similar for the very top end stuff.

My point is that where a company cuts out the retailer and the fact that the retailer needs to make a margin to offer you a service, of course direct operations can offer lower prices - albeit they seek to make much bigger margins.
