Can of worms officially opened!

The retailers on this site e.g. IJC can provide excellent advice and stock really good value gear (check out their website) and some of the custom bat makers on here e.g. Red Ink have some very competitive prices for members.
All of the sponsors on the forum can provide excellent value for money. A lot depends on what you want. Do you have anything (profile, weight, handle shape, weight, batting style wise) that you're after?

Best of luck with it!  :)

I'm just not that familiar with bats in that range. I currently use a Vantage Lithium, a GN oblivion and  a Kookaburra Kahuna 900. I really am not particular about profile yet, as id like to bat with all sorts of different profile.

On my wish list for the future are an affinity carbine and a mongoose torq.

Presently though I'm just wondering if there is a hidden gem out there that would serve me good for the winter nets and possibly for use as a back up game bat.

I use 2lb 10 at the moment and would like to stay within 2 ounces of that.

Give it a week or so and I'm sure there will be some crazy sales for end of seasons stock , if you can view the sale section there are some very good bats in there at present time including 3 from myself :D

The best value bat is one you use solely for three seasons until its cracked and held together by tape and wood glue.

And if all you are talking about is use in nets then any piece of willow that is bat shaped and weighted would do the job.

You can't beat a solitaire at that price.

Best value for money is an MSR bat if you are after a net bat.

A GM bat (either 404 or 606) could be a good investment at under a £100.

About £80 for my SG Cobra from India. 3 Seasons use, held together by tape and glue for 4th season and still pings like rocket but has been retired.

Have a look on IJC for the the GN powerbow gen x at under £90 and what seems to be a cracking piece of wood in most cases especially as Paul hand picks them you really can't go wrong

Sorry for not causing the confusion.

Was more interested in a generic discussion around what bats people consider to be the best value for money, rather than a discussion about which bats are best for me to buy.
