Bag problems
« on: September 15, 2014, 10:03:00 AM »

Hi all

I may well be the only one with this problem, but does anyone else find bags don't last any more?
I had a Slazenger bag disintegrate last season, and this season the floor had fallen out of my GM easi load.

Any recommendations on bags that may last a bit longer?
Looking at the TON duffle so any user reviews would be highly appreciated.

Cheers

Salix duffle is great, two seasons' use and not a stitch out of place.

Kook pro double decker. Bat pocket ripped off with the pull handle first time I used it!

Several gms not lasting more than 3 months. One returned as arrived as it was broke before use.

2 slazengers disentegrate.

And a mongoose bag that the lid tore off, although that because  I grabbed it instead of the handle(so my fault)

I bought a b3 duffle bag to keep bats in end of last season, it ended up doing this season too as I just prefer duffles. It's very simple, so not much to break, and nothing has as off yet. Thankfully.

They're nice bags mate, would be keen for one but delivery to Aus is usually more than the bag itself.....

I recently switched to a ice hockey bag (with wheels and extendable handle). I bought it used - $30. It is a big, strong bag. If it lasts me couple of seasons, I'd be more than happy with it.

Spoke to Jake earlier and they don't have any in stock currently, but he let me know they'd be in soon.
I'll have a choice to make soon!!

TON duffle is sold out everywhere no wi believe, until approx early November.

They are launching a new duffle in addition to the current one. The new one follows the same spec and layout as this seasons duffle but is bigger. It will be at the same price.

Any of the Affinity range.  I have a Juggernaut wheelie and the quality is superb.  Only one season so far, but it's immaculate.

I have a GM Original LE Duplex for 2 seasons.(Massive one). Lining on a pocket has torn off. The plastic runners that hold the sides up have both snapped (replaced with aluminium strips).  Hole near the zip from being snug at times.  The bat cave has completely warped due to the weight of the kit on top of the cave :(

I havea few bags for all my kit

TON duffle - just amazing £40 and fits all my batting & keeping kit and has worn so well this year basically looks brand new

GN Maverick - couple of seasons old and quality double compartment bag massive but also stands up down side is no bat cave.

Salix & HitsHard duffle both the same bag and both quality huge and great value for money

GM original - it's ok no bat cave and sticking has come away in places very big but wouldn't buy again.
